AND HOLY FREAKING PODIUM, FAIRIES. 🏆

Whitney (only on FB) raced her VERY FIRST MTB race today — AND FREAKING PODIUMED!!!!! 🩷🧚‍♀️

And right there on the podium with her — @allison.l.scates TOOK FREAKING FIRST PLACE!!! 🥇🔥💪🏼

WHITNEY + ALISON!!! YOU BADDIES FREAKING SENT IT TODAY. One taking on her first-ever MTB race and landing on the podium, the other taking the TOP STEP. LFGGGGGG!!! 😂🏆🔥

ANDDDD we also spotted Annemarie and Jenifer up on those podiums today too! And @elizabethtaylormakeovers taking first as well! 👀

STEP INTO THE SHED. 🧚‍♀️ Women came from beyond our region to ride with us today — and there were HUGE wins. Revenge on trails. Features conquered. Screaming, whooping, and A LOT of Trail Fairy hype. 😂

But the best part of these rides is what the videos don’t capture.

The conversations. The chitchat through the woods. Talking about nature, this mountain, getting stuck in your own head, and how demoralizing that can feel. And realizing that even when you can’t get yourself out of it, you have a group of women who will stand beside you while you work through it.

If one woman is struggling, somehow the entire ride becomes about lifting her up. No judgment. No pressure. Just: WE GOT YOU.

And WHERE HAVE YOU WOMEN BEEN THE LAST 30 YEARS OF MY LIFE?!” needs to become a trademarked S3 phrase.

Then we met JOYCE. 🥹 A local hiker and breast cancer survivor who lives on the mountain and hikes every day with her husband. She stopped to ask about our tutes and S3, and we spent time talking about her journey. She obviously left with an honorary Tiny Tute on her hip pack. 🧚‍♀️

And yes, there were plenty of YOU’VE BEEN TINY TUTED moments — including some random dude bikes along the way. (See our stories for those) 😂

The wins are awesome. But women finding each other, feeling accepted and adored exactly where they are, and knowing an entire crew has their six?

That’s the good stuff. 🩷

NOT AN OFFICIAL @sheshredsshed ride but VERY MUCH AN S3 RIDE + the intro of the tiny tute! 😂🧚‍♀️

This one started in our private S3 chats - Friday-North side-Let’s go ride some advanced technical XC.

Translation: uphill gnarly rock gardens, climbing, chunky lines, and basically ZERO flow. 😂 These trails are no joke.

We had an OTB. A couple sideways disappearances into rock crevices. We climbed. We picked our way through rocks.

10/10. Would get swallowed by rock gardens with these women again. 💕 @mtbmomangie @trail_fairy_freak_ @thespaceteacher @growthgamewarrior

P.S. That’s Angie’s 14-year-old son @send_it8 — aka CamX — absolutely SHREDDING. This kid is one hell of a rider, and we adore having him out there with us. 🤘💕

P.S.S. Apparently it’s S3 policy now that ALL BIKES IN THE PARKING LOT GET TUTED BY THE TINY TUTE. 😂🩷 Including some random dude named Josh we met who was immediately on board.

One of our @sheshredsshed Trail Fairies discovered a mechanical issue with her bike last night.

Problem: she REALLY wants to ride with us Saturday AND join us at @gravitysocialmtb Sunday — but she wasn’t sure she could afford to get it fixed in time.

So… we called our partners at @bikedrfrederick 🧚‍♀️🔧💥

They got her bike in TODAY.
Turned it around IN A MATTER OF HOURS.
And S3 covered the repair through our Trail Fairy Fund.

BOOM SAUCE. BIKE FIXED. FAIRY BACK ON TRAIL. 🧚‍♀️🔥

And she is currently LOSING HER MIND with happiness. 🩷🫶

This is why we love Bike Doctor Frederick. When we call with a FAIRY EMERGENCY, they show up.

And this is exactly one of the many reasons the Trail Fairy Fund exists — removing barriers and keeping women riding.

A lot of what we do through the Trail Fairy Fund stays anonymous because we want to protect the privacy of the women we’re helping. We don’t need to tell their stories to tell you this: the fund is doing exactly what we built it to do. 🩷

Community taking care of community. That’s the whole damn point.

Step into the Shed OG @sheshredsshed rides are back, Fairies! 🧚‍♀️🚵‍♀️💗

And THIS is what S3 is all about.

Seven badass women showed up despite unpredictable weather — and somehow, we ended up with perfect riding conditions. Humid but cool, with just enough coming-soon Fall magic. 🍂

We rode one of the classic loops for newer Shed riders, and women conquered something they once felt was terrifying.

We sessioned features. Tried again. Cheered louder. Whooped for every win — big and small.

There were a couple crashes, because — MTB. 😬 But everyone rallied. Zero judgment. Zero pressure. Just care, encouragement, and Trail Fairies making sure each other was okay. 💗

And our favorite part?

Most of these women didn’t know each other when we rolled out.

By the time we rolled back in? Friends.

Because MTB teaches us a hell of a lot about life, but S3 keeps teaching us this:

You may show up as strangers, but you leave with people who have your six.

People who encourage you when you’re scared. Cheer obnoxiously loud when you try to send it. Pick you up when you hit the dirt. And remind you that you’re capable of WAY MORE than you thought.

That’s Trail Fairy magic. 🧚‍♀️✨

One woman even said “this is by far the best group ride I’ve ever done”. We’re not crying. You’re crying. 😭

Seven women. New friendships. New sends. A pretty damn perfect day in the Shed. 💗🌲
